Job summary

Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC is seeking a Software Engineer to participate in all phases of software development for satellite avionics and ground services. You will design, implement, test, and operate end-to-end software solutions across ground AWS services and flight software.

The role requires 3+ years of professional software development, strong OO design, and proficiency in C++, Java, or Perl.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in CS, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Our team tackles secure communication between critical satellite functions including power management, hardware interfaces, command & telemetry, and autonomous control. We are looking for an outstanding Software Engineer to participate in all phases of software development from requirements through implementation and test to operations.

As an Engineer you will engage with an experienced cross-disciplinary staff to conceive and design solutions. You must be responsive, flexible, and able to succeed within an open, collaborative peer environment.

You will participate in the design, integration and improvement of the SW. This includes designing and implementing a wide range of end to end software solution involved ground aws services and satellite flight software.

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl experience
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
