Mapbox is seeking a backend engineering leader in the United States to guide a high-performance team in building scalable services. You will shape architecture, drive delivery, and own implementation details across Python, NodeJS, and AWS.

You will mentor peers, promote rigorous testing and documentation, and foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• 8-10+ years building scalable, high-volume backend services with Python, NodeJS, and AWS.
• Experience with mapping/geospatial products and a data-driven, quality-first mindset.
