Job summary
Mapbox is seeking a remote IT Systems Engineer to own identity and access provisioning across Okta, AWS, GitHub, G Suite and related systems. You will manage endpoint security, device deployment, and remote administration from a regional perspective while supporting onboarding and lifecycle management for employees.
You will collaborate with our security team on audits, automate repetitive tasks, and contribute to weekly sprints.
Qualifications
- Experience with IT tools and platforms including macOS, Windows 11, Linux distributions, Okta SAML, GitHub, Slack, Google G Suite, Jamf, Zoom, Jira, and Confluence.
- Experience in a fast-paced IT organization that prioritizes security, automation, and reliability.
- Excellent problem solving with a focus on root-cause analysis and secure-by-default practices.
Responsibilities
- Own secure configuration, provisioning, and lifecycle management of identity and access across multiple systems.
- Manage and secure the endpoint fleet (macOS/Windows/Linux) via MDM and baselines.
- Own in-office LAN, WiFi, AV, conferencing, and computing systems end-to-end remotely.
- Automate ticket resolution and build self-service tooling to reduce escalations.
- Serve as technical escalation point for unresolved issues and drive improvements.
