Job summary

Kognitiv Edge LLC is seeking an experienced SDE III to design, develop, and deliver scalable enterprise software solutions. The role blends hands-on engineering with technical leadership across cloud-native and on-premises environments.

You will design robust architectures, own large features, mentor engineers, and drive CI/CD and API integration efforts to improve performance and reliability. Raleigh on-site with full-time commitment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree requirement or equivalent with 6+ years of programming experience and 6 years as a developer in cloud environments.
• 4-10 years of experience in Python, Java, TypeScript, JavaScript, and C# with OOP principles.
• Azure 3-6 years or AWS/GCP 5-8 years of cloud experience (backend or full stack).
• 4-6 years in DevOps (CI/CD, Git source control).
• 3-5 years with frontend frameworks (React, Angular).
• 3-5 years in ETL or strong relational/non-relational DB knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable enterprise software architectures for large-scale deployments.
• Oversee end-to-end development including scoping, estimating, architecture, and implementation oversight.
• Own delivery of large features and projects.
• Lead UI development and component/library reuse across applications.
• Mentor engineers and conduct regular progress meetings.
• Develop ETL data ingestion processes and manage data pipelines.
• Maintain source control repositories and CI/CD pipelines.
• Develop and integrate new API connections and improve service performance.

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced SDE III to design, develop, and deliver scalable enterprise software solutions. This role combines hands-on engineering, technical leadership, and mentorship across cloud-native and on-premises environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design robust software architecture solutions that can scale and operate at an enterprise level.
• Manage the end-to-end development of a production solution, including scoping, estimating, architecting, and overseeing implementation.
• Own delivery of large features and projects
• Lead the development of user interfaces and libraries to support component and feature level reuse.
• Regularly mentor engineers throughout the development of solutions.
• Conduct meetings with the engineering and operations team to ensure viability and progress.
• Develop and manage Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) data ingestion processes.
• Design and maintain source control repositories and CI/CD pipelines.
• Develop and integrate new API connections.
• Improve performance across application services.
• Encourage software development best practices with policies and procedures.
• Represent engineering in technical discussions with customers and external partners when appropriate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, MIS, or a related field OR meets all other requirements and has at least 6 years programming experience and 6 years as a developer in cloud environment.
• 4-10 years of experience in the following: Python, Java, Typescript, Javascript, C#. Must be able to talk to Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles.
• Azure 3-6 years' experience OR AWS/GCP 5-8 years' experience back end or full stack developer in cloud environment.
• 4-6 years' experience in DevOps (CI/CD, Git Source Control)
• 3-5 years' experience working with frontend framework (React, Angular)
• 3-5 years' experience in Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) OR can prove relational & non-relational database knowledge.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of cloud architecture and making resilient, cost-effective enterprise solutions
• Pulumi, Terraform, or other IAC tooling experience
• Expert in user interface development with React
• Experience designing UI/UX systems
• Experience with mobile application delivery
• Understanding of API development and OAuth 2.0 authentication pattern
• Experience designing CI/CD pipelines for enterprise-wide applications
• Extensive experience with Object-Oriented Programming and scripting
