Job summary

ClearEdge IT Solutions, LLC is seeking a Software Engineer II to design, build, and ship features across the full stack for core AI-enabled products. You will collaborate with stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, high-performing UI and API features with AI-assisted capabilities for automated analysis and decision support.

You will develop front-end and API layers using TypeScript, Python, and React within an Agile team, translating requirements into reliable software.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance; U.S. citizenship.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or similar (4 years of experience may substitute).
• 3+ years of experience in the design, development, and deployment of software systems.
• Fluency with AI-native IDEs.
• Exposure to TypeScript, Python, and/or React.
• Familiarity with containers and hybrid deployment concepts.

Your Mission:

Join ClearEdge as a Software Engineer II, where you will design, build, and ship features across the full stack for one of our core AI-enabled products. You will work closely with internal and customer stakeholders to implement scalable, secure, high-performing UI and API features, including AI-assisted capabilities that support automated analysis and decision support.

You will build and maintain front-end and API layers using TypeScript, Python, and React as part of an Agile team, turning requirements into working, reliable software.

You Will Excel in This Role If You Are:

• Skilled in TypeScript, Python, and/or React
• Fluent with AI-native IDEs and comfortable using them as your default way of working
• Comfortable with hybrid (on-prem/cloud) and air-gapped deployment concepts
• Familiar with containers at a basic build/run level
• Comfortable across the software development lifecycle: requirements, design, testing, maintenance
• Experienced with version control workflows
• Capable of picking up new stacks quickly

A Day in the Life:

What We Are Expecting From You:

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance; U.S. citizenship
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or similar (4 years of experience may substitute)
• 3+ years of experience in the design, development, and deployment of software systems
• Fluency with AI-native IDEs
• Well-versed in at least one mainstream programming language — language is secondary; exposure to TypeScript, Python, and/or React is a strong fit for how we work
• Proficient in the basics of several programming languages, computer system architecture, and operating systems/cloud concepts
• Understanding of hybrid deployment concepts (on-prem and cloud), including air-gapped deployment
• Familiarity with containers (build/run basics at minimum)
• Familiarity with production cross-cutting basics: identity/SSO hooks, RBAC-aware UI/API behavior, audit-friendly logging, and relational + object storage patterns
• Well-versed across all phases of the software development lifecycle

Nice to Have:

• Enterprise directory/SSO experience
• Document repository or workflow UI experience
• Exposure to systems operating under RMF/ATO constraints (e.g., audit logging, RBAC, secure config)
• Experience with physical security or facility accreditation practices, such as ICD 705 or similar frameworks
• Familiarity with tools used by security and compliance teams
