Job summary

Busey Bank is seeking a Core Software Development Engineer in Arizona to join the Core Development team. You will translate customer and product requirements into scalable solutions within our Azure-based stack, adhering to Agile practices and SOLID design principles.

You will lead scrum activities, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with a global team to deliver high-quality multi-tier applications while managing deadlines and maintaining customer focus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; 4–6 years of experience in software development.
  • Advanced knowledge of C#, .NET, SQL, Azure, and CI/CD practices.
  • Experience leading scrum teams and mentoring others; strong customer focus.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret customer and product requirements into scalable solutions.
  • Lead architectural improvements and guide development teams.
  • Collaborate with a global team using Agile practices and SOLID design.
  • Mentor junior engineers and act as a technical SME for platforms.

Position SummaryThe Core Development team at FirsTech creates new solutions for customers using our payment processing platform. Software Development Engineers will interpret requirements from customers and product management, creating solutions within the existing FirsTech development frameworks. Engineers will leverage the best of industry standards related to Agile development and Quality Assurance.
