Amazon in Bellevue, WA is seeking talented back-end engineers to help build the next generation of integrated development experiences for analysts, data engineers, and scientists focused on ML and analytics.

As a back-end engineer, you will drive deliverables, influence product features, shape system architecture, and collaborate with UX designers, PMs, and other engineers to deliver a scalable, interactive ML application.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of design or architecture experience on large systems.
• 1+ years designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

Are you intrigued or passionate about Machine Learning (ML) and Analytics? Our team is looking for talented back-end engineers to help us build the next generation of integrated development experiences targeted towards analysts, data engineers, and scientists.

This job is for an exciting new product which aims to bring together the best of AWS to serve customers that live-and-breath data, and who use data to build ML models to drive critical business processes.

As a back-end engineer on this team, you'll be responsible for driving key deliverables across teams building out interactive and responsive user experiences. You will have significant influence on our overall strategy by helping define product features, drive the system architecture and spearhead the best practices that enable a quality product. Above all, you will build an impactful product.

Key job responsibilities

• Work closely with UX designers and product managers to develop friendly UI experiences.
• Work closely with other engineers to architect and develop the best technical design.
• Develop/maintain operational rigor for the frontend of a new AWS service.
• Own and deliver key features within a new interactive ML application
• Collaborate with other AWS SDEs for features that cut across AWS.
• Engage with customers and other AWS partners.

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl experience
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
