Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Software Development Engineer II for EC2 Infrastructure Foundational Services in Seattle. The role focuses on building scalable services that manage hardware provisioning, rack management, and health tracking across data centers, with end-to-end ownership of features and on-call responsibilities.

You will work with Kotlin/Java/Python/TypeScript, collaborating with engineers and partners to improve availability and security, in an on-site Seattle environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience (design patterns, reliability, scaling).
• Experience programming with at least one software language.

Responsibilities

• Design and build highly available, regional and zonal services at massive scale.
• Own features end-to-end: requirements, design, implementation, testing, deployment, operations.
• Develop Kotlin/Java/Python/TypeScript services spanning on-host agents, APIs and Web interfaces.
