The engineer will contribute to the full software development lifecycle — from design and implementation through testing, release, and continuous improvement — with a focus on AI-powered solutions, cloud adoption, legacy system modernization, and enterprise integration across the applications landscape.

What You Will Do
  • Work closely with business partners, development teams, infrastructure teams, and vendors to deliver high-quality application enhancements, automation initiatives, and platform upgrades.
  • Contribute to the design, development, testing, and implementation of AI-driven solutions that improve business processes, operational efficiency, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Provide production support as a secondary responsibility, assisting in monitoring and maintaining production processes, batch jobs, file transfers, integrations, and data workflows that enable accurate data intake, validation, processing, and delivery.
  • Participate in troubleshooting production issues, supporting release deployments, and contributing to overall system stability, performance, and reliability.
  • Work across a diverse technology landscape, including legacy IBM i (AS400) platforms, modern cloud-based solutions, enterprise integration technologies, and emerging AI-powered applications.
Required Qualifications

  • Experience developing or supporting AI, Agentic AI, Machine Learning (ML), or intelligent automation solutions, including familiarity with Large Language Models (LLMs), prompt engineering, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) concepts, and agent-based architectures.

  • 3 + years of working knowledge of cloud platforms, Windows Active Directory, networking protocols, batch scheduling, and high-volume data processing.
  • Experience with application production support (Level 1–3), incident management, and troubleshooting of enterprise systems.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools, logging frameworks, and IT operations processes.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Healthcare industry domain knowledge.
  • Experience with legacy IBM i (AS400) platforms, enterprise systems, and emerging technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to track and manage assigned projects from initiation through successful completion.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, including the ability to prioritize work to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both spoken and written, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of management.
  • Strong analytical, reasoning, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members to resolve technical and operational challenges.
  • Ability to multi-task and adjust priorities based on changing business needs.
  • Ability and willingness to follow established procedural guidelines with a commitment to continuous quality improvement.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours during peak periods and participate in a 24x7 on-call operating model.
