Job summary

Amazon is seeking Software Development Engineers to design and build scalable services in a large distributed environment. You will collaborate with cross-disciplinary Amazonians to innovate products and drive architecture modernization, including the What-If Billing Service (WIBS) on Horizon.

The role emphasizes solving complex problems at scale, with opportunities to impact billions of customers and be part of a high-velocity team.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of design/architecture experience on large systems
• 1+ years of SDE or related occupation experience
• 1+ year of designing and developing large-scale distributed software applications
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering/Math or related field
• Experience programming in at least one language

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary Amazonians to design and bring innovative products to market
• Design and build technologies in a large distributed computing environment
• Create solutions to run predictions on distributed systems at scale
• Build distributed storage, index, and query systems that are scalable and fault-tolerant
• Design and code the right solutions starting from defined problems
• Work in an agile environment to deliver high-quality software
