Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 3+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience.
• Experience programming with at least one software language.
• 4+ years of leading design or architecture of systems.
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team.
• Experience working in a collaborative team environment to deliver high-quality design solutions.
• Strong background or familiarity with algorithms and system design for highly-scalable systems.

About The Team

As a Robotic Movement software engineer, you design and deliver cloud‑based, high‑performance software that controls Amazon's world‑wide fleet of mobile robots. The service‑based software architecture is mainly written in Java and built using AWS products. Our team balances building new services to meet the needs of our growing customer base and extending existing services by developing new algorithms or by optimizing application performance.

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of non‑internship professional software development experience
• 3+ years of non‑internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language
• 4+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
• Experience working in a collaborative team environment to deliver high‑quality design solutions
• Strong background or familiarity with algorithms and system design used to solve complex problems for highly‑scalable systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
• 5+ years professional experience preferred with a strong background with algorithms used to solve complex problems for highly‑scalable systems

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
