Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 3+ years of design or architecture experience for distributed systems.
• 3+ years of software development experience with OO design.
• 3+ years of implementing multi‑tiered, multi‑threaded software applications.
• Experience programming in at least one major language (C++, Java, C#, Perl).
• Strong background in building reliable, scalable software systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate large‑scale, distributed, low‑latency services that power Amazon Search Navigation experiences worldwide.
• Build and optimize online LLM serving for Smart Refinement and multi‑turn conversational refinement with focus on latency, reliability, and cost.
• Work with Applied Scientists, Product Managers, and Program Managers to define requirements and productionize models.
• Build scalable data pipelines for feature generation, model training, and evaluation.
• Design, run, and analyze online A/B experiments to measure model impact and feature improvements.
• Contribute to operational excellence with monitoring, on‑call duties, and P0 metrics guardrails.
• Write high‑quality, well‑tested code and participate in design and code reviews.
