Job summary

Amazon is seeking a passionate Software Development Engineer for its AGI team in Bellevue, WA. You will help advance large language models and Generative AI systems by building scalable data infrastructure for evaluation, training, and post‑training workflows.

You will partner with scientists, ML engineers, and evaluation teams to identify data needs, transform heterogeneous data into high‑quality datasets, and deliver reliable pipelines at massive scale, shaping the future of Amazon AI.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non‑internship professional software development experience.
• 3+ years of design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems.
• 3+ years of designing and developing large‑scale, multi‑tiered, multi‑threaded, distributed software applications using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.

Responsibilities

• Learn and apply Generative AI, data processing, and model development best practices.
• Design, build, and maintain scalable platforms for discovering, processing, curating, and delivering data for LLM evaluation, training, and model improvement.
• Identify useful evaluation data, understand its characteristics, and make data easier to discover, standardize, validate, and consume.
• Collaborate with scientists, ML engineers, evaluation teams, and other engineering teams.
• Build reliable data discovery and processing pipelines that scale and improve data quality, coverage, and developer productivity.
