Software Development Engineer

Welcome to the Audi F1 Project. Audi will be competing in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship from 2026. The new team has three locations: Audi's Motorsport Competence Center in Neuburg (Germany), the Sauber Group's Formula 1 factory in Hinwil (Switzerland), and the Sauber Motorsport Technical Center in the UK. The Power Unit is developed in Neuburg, while Hinwil focuses on chassis development and race operations. Your mission

1. Work in an agile software development team.
2. Develop software for various company areas, including analysis tools for race and data engineers, logistics, and performance.
3. Specify tool requirements in collaboration with software users.
4. Create documentation for developers and users.
5. Support customers using the software.
6. Maintain source code and test software.

Your profile

• An engineering degree in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
• Experience with software development using Microsoft Visual Studio, DevOps, and Git.
• Strong C# skills and good knowledge of C/C++.
• Experience with .NET, including WPF (Windows).
• Basic understanding of agile methodologies.
• Preferred but not required: Linux experience, database technologies (PostgreSQL, SQL Server, T-SQL, Entity Framework), message brokers like Kafka, cloud computing, web development, AI/ML, or data analytics.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Pragmatic, analytical, highly self-motivated, creative, and results-oriented.
• Ability to work independently with high attention to detail.
• Resilient, open-minded, innovative, and a team player.
• Willing to support the racing team during weekends for on-call assistance.
• Eager to work in a dynamic, cross-functional environment.
