Job summary

CVS Shared Services Resources LLC, a CVS Health company, seeks a Software Development Engineer to design and deliver efficient QA solutions in Hartford, CT. You will work in a hybrid environment, drive QA strategies across multiple agile teams, and develop automation frameworks to raise software quality.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Science or related field; completion of CI/CD, Jenkins, Git, or DevOps coursework or projects.
• Proficiency in Agile methodologies or SAFe Software Development Principles.
• Experience with ATG Commerce or Spring Boot microservices.
• Familiarity with frameworks: Angular, JavaScript, React, jQuery, Ajax, Bootstrap, Backbone.
• Knowledge of REST, SOAP, or Web Service APIs.
• Proficiency in Java, Python, Hive, Cassandra, Pig, MySQL or NoSQL.
• Experience in enterprise or web applications development and data warehousing.
• ETL/Extract-Transform-Load processes experience.
• Ability to write clean, high-quality, scalable code and perform testing and troubleshooting.
• Understanding of software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

Position Summary

CVS Shared Services Resources LLC, a CVS Health company, is hiring for the following role in Hartford, CT: Software Development Engineer to Design and deliver efficient technical solutions in furtherance of our quality assurance standards for multiple software applications; Work in an agile software development environment, provide QA expertise and guidance, and drive consistent quality assurance strategies across multiple agile teams; Define and own engineering priorities that adapt to our larger goals, communicating effectively with business partners; Analyze and report QA performance measurements including defect density, defect leakage, QA efficiency, and various QA team performance factors; Construct quality dashboards and management reports; Maintain up-to-date knowledge of competitive products, services, and trends through research of cutting-edge technology and trends, and influence innovation and process; Continually develop and refine test automation frameworks, and evaluate strategies and opportunities for test case automation; Promote proper implementation of agile techniques and principles for sprint planning and estimation; Estimate scope and size of user stories; Design both manual and automated tests and ensuring alignment with all agile team members with tests that each user story will have to pass; Implement measures and metrics to demonstrate business value for new Quality initiatives; Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and processes to ensure the highest quality software product platform. Hybrid position: remote work permitted but must live within commuting distance of designated office location and remain available to report to office as needed and required. Multiple openings.

Required Qualifications

Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Science, or a related field and completion of a university-level course, research project, internship, or thesis in each of the following: CI/CD, Jenkins, GIT, or DevOps; Agile methodologies or SAFe Software Development Principles; ATG Commerce or Spring Boot microservices; Frameworks: Angular, JavaScript, React, jQuery, Ajax, Bootstrap, or Backbone; REST, SOAP, or Web Service APIs; Java, Python, Hive, Cassandra, Pig, MySQL or NoSQL; Software development for enterprise or web applications; Data Warehousing; Extract/Transform/Load (ETL) processes; Writing clean, high quality, high performing, scalable code; Testing, quality assurance, and troubleshooting; and Software development lifecycle.

Pay Range: $84178.00/year to $158620.00/year.

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
