Job summary

STATE STREET CORPORATION is seeking a Business Analyst with strong project management, data analysis, and workflow design experience to support the Alpha front-to-back client servicing platform.

You will contribute to State Street Core Data (SSCD) and Data Quality framework, analyzing current state, performing gap analysis, and proposing future-state solutions in a fast-paced, global team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above; 10+ years of financial industry experience across front office, middle (IBOR) and back-office systems, services and data domains.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies and tools (JIRA, Rally, RTC).
• Knowledge of financial data platforms and data quality concepts.

Responsibilities

• Design data quality solutions and onboard new clients to State Street’s Alpha front-to-back platform.
• Lead workflow analysis, data analysis and requirements analysis for current and future state models and architecture.
• Contribute to SDLC stages: design, integration/testing, implementation, and operational readiness.
• Develop subject-matter expertise on State Street’s Alpha Data Quality platform.
• Participate in code reviews and adhere to Scrum ceremonies (daily standups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, retrospectives).
• Triage production issues by reviewing code/logs and propose solutions.

Who we are looking for

Business Analyst with strong experience in project management, analysis, workflow design, data analysis, and business architecture in order to create client solutions and execute implementation of the Alpha front-to-back client servicing platform. Individual will contribute to the development, enhancement and maintenance of State Street Core Data (SSCD), Data Quality framework as a member of an Agile scrum team. Analyze the data quality framework to understand their current state, perform gap analysis and propose future state that meets business as well as technical requirements. This is an opportunity to work within a very strong development team and help to develop challenging new products in the financial space using cutting edge technology.

What you will be responsible for

• As SoftWare Developer Analyst you will Be responsible for designing Data quality solutions and onboarding new clients onto State Street’s front-to-back platform
• Lead workflow analysis, data analysis, requirements analysis for current and future state models and architecture
• Contribute to various stages of the SDLC (solution design, integration and testing, implementation, and operational readiness).
• Become a product and platform SME on State Street’s Alpha Data Quality platform
• Participate in code reviews
• Actively participate in the agile software development process by adhering to the scrum methodology including attending all daily standups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives
• Triage production issues by reviewing code and logs as needed and come up with solutions

Education & Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above. 10+ years of financial industry experience across front office functionality along with middle (IBOR) and back-office systems, services, and data domains. Client engagement and expectation management across project life cycle Knowledge of financial data and platforms Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), good interpersonal skills Ability to gather and understand requirements in the financial sector (Math background highly desirable) Able to work well with peers in a collaborative team environment Experience working with an Agile development methodology is desired Additional requirements Ability to analyze business requirements and develop solutions to the business needs Strong communication skills, self-motivated, detail oriented, and highly responsible. Strong collaboration skills, working with multiple teams in various locations in an agile environment.

Salary Range

Salary Range: $110,000 - $185,000 Annual The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
