Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a DevOps/Platform Engineer in the United States to develop and maintain software, systems, and firmware for products. You will implement AWS-based cloud infrastructure with IaC, build robust CI/CD pipelines, and automate deployment and monitoring.

Qualifications

  • Strong experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch)
  • Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
  • Knowledge of containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Source control (Git) experience
  • Knowledge of Linux systems
  • Networking knowledge (VPC, subnets, security, DNS)
  • AWS certifications (preferred)
  • Observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK) preferred
  • SRE practices (preferred)
  • DevSecOps security tools (preferred)
  • Experience with high-scale environments (preferred)
  • Cost optimization (FinOps) knowledge (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain software, systems, and firmware for products

  • Provide support to customers and internal teams

  • Drive DevOps and SRE practices for continuous improvement
  • Implement observability across logs, metrics, and tracing
  • Work with development teams to optimize applications
  • Apply cloud security best practices (IAM, policies, compliance)
  • Participate in incident resolution and root cause analysis
  • Promote best practices within the team

Job description

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain software, systems, and firmware for products
  • Apply appropriate technology while always seeking the best cost-effectiveness
  • Develop software according to specifications. Test legacy applications to evaluate functionality and ensure compliance with Gertec quality standards
  • Collaborate on product specifications to meet customer requirements
  • Analyze functional and non-functional requirements and project constraints
  • Provide support to internal and external customers to understand and meet their needs
  • Design and maintain cloud infrastructure using AWS (Infrastructure as Code)
  • Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines
  • Automate build, deployment, and monitoring processes
  • Drive continuous improvement of DevOps and SRE practices
  • Implement observability strategies (logs, metrics, and tracing)
  • Work closely with development teams to optimize applications
  • Ensure cloud security best practices (IAM, policies, compliance)
  • Participate in incident resolution and root cause analysis
  • Support technical decisions and promote best practices within the team
Requirements
  • Strong experience with AWS (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch)
