Job summary

Peraton is hiring a Senior Java/Python Developer to work with cross-functional teams on a distributed processing application. You will develop, test and maintain software using Python and Java, aligning with program standards and SAFe Agile practices.

You will collaborate with Product Owner, Data Coaches, Analysts and DBA while working with Scrum/Kanban teams to deliver robust backend services. This role requires strong communication and the ability to work with limited supervision, in the US.

Qualifications

• 8+ years experience with BS/BA; 6+ years with MS/MA; 3+ years with PhD
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong Python development with Java experience or strong Java development with Python experience
• Experience with distributed workloads via Spark/Hadoop/Other
• Must have SQL skills; Snowflake experience

• US Citizen or Green Card; must have been in US 3 of the last 5 years
• Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance

Responsibilities

Target Salary Range

$104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
