Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Senior Java/Python Developer to join its agile teams in the United States. You will develop, test, and maintain a complex distributed processing application using Python and Java, and collaborate with Product Owner/Data Coaches/Analysts/DBA and Scrum/Kanban teams to meet program standards.

You will work to fulfill SAFe Agile delivery expectations, operate with minimal supervision, and contribute to backend-frontend alignment for mission-critical systems.

Qualifications

• Requires a BS/BA with 8+ years or MS/MA with 6+ years or PhD with 3+ years in relevant fields.
• Strong Python development with Java experience or strong Java development with Python experience.
• Experience with distributed workloads via Spark/Hadoop/Other.
• Must have SQL skills; Snowflake experience.
• AWS experience.
• Strong shell scripting.
• Must be a team player.
• Excellent executive function and communication skills.
• US Citizenship or Green Card - must have been in US 3 of the last 5 years.
• Must have the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Experience working with Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) information systems.
• CMS - Medicare or Medicaid claims experience
• Rules engine experience (ODM/DRools etc)

Target Salary Range

$104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
