Job summary

Avalore, LLC is seeking a Software Developer Lead to drive a high-visibility enterprise IT support model. You will lead a team to deliver scalable web-based applications, ensure accessibility, and integrate services via APIs and databases, while aligning with sponsor goals.

The role requires leadership across Java development, cloud technologies, and AWS environments, with responsibility for documentation, accreditation, and Tier 1–3 support processes.

Qualifications

• Active Security Clearance with appropriate Polygraph.
• Experience leading a team providing technical expertise and communications to a sponsor.
• Experience implementing industry best practices and accessibility standards with Agile.
• Ability to propose business-value driven recommendations aligned to goals with user focus.
• Experience in UX/UI, reducing O&M, and modernizing web-based apps and services.
• Proven ability to develop, maintain, analyze, and document web-based components with databases and APIs.
• Strong Java development background.
• Experience with cloud technologies and AWS environments.
• Experience with COTS products including ServiceNow.
• Experience in the full accreditation lifecycle.
• Experience managing Tier 1–3 support via service management systems.
• Experience creating IT support documents (SOPs, workflows, knowledge bases, checklists, diagrams, SSPs).
• Experience maintaining enterprise software, including licensing, patching, and updates.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team delivering technical expertise and communications to the Sponsor.
• Develop and implement web-based enterprise IT solutions with a focus on performance and accessibility.
• Oversee integration with databases and web services/APIs to inform future development.

Avalore is looking for a Software Developer Lead, a role with high visibility within the customer space. This individual will support a team building an integrated enterprise IT support model to drive efficiencies in the talent space and better address strategic requirements associated with learning, training compliances, foreign language development and retention, job advertisements, selection, and performance.

• Demonstrated experience in developing, maintaining, analyzing and documenting web-based application, system, and service components and associated interfaces, including those with databases and web services/APIs to assist in decision-making regarding future development.
• Demonstrated experience in Java development
• Demonstrated experience with cloud technologies.
• Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining AWS environments and service components and associated interfaces, including those with databases and web services/APIs to assist in decision-making regarding future development

• Demonstrated experience in managing Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 support, using service management systems.
• Demonstrated experience developing IT support documents that include SOPs, digital IT workflows, IT knowledge base, pre and post deployment checklists, IT architectural diagrams, system security plans, and administrative processes.
• Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining enterprise software, to include license renewals (where applicable), patching, and version update administration.

Work Environment:
