GovCIO is hiring a Software Developer-SME to design, code, test, and maintain software applications and systems in support of the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS). This role is based in Quantico, VA, and will be a hybrid position within the United States.

Responsibilities include designing and coding modules, maintaining existing software, and participating in code reviews, with a focus on meeting software compliance standards and documentation needs.

Qualifications

Top Secret w/ SCI clearance required.
IAT II Certification required.
Expert knowledge in reading/writing PL/SQL code and .NET code.
Experience on Department of Navy networks preferred.
Experience with Agile projects and ServiceNow.

Maintains and modifies existing software applications.
Analyzes detailed systems factors, including input/output requirements, information flow, hardware/software requirements, and alternative methods of problem resolution.
Performs modifications to and maintenance of operational programs and procedures.
Participates in code reviews to ensure adherence to standards.
Writes or revises program documentation and user guides in accordance with standards.

Job description

GovCIO is currently hiring for a Software Developer-SME to design, code, test, and maintain software applications and systems in support of the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS). This position will be located in Quantico, VA, and will be a hybrid position within the United States.

Responsibilities

Builds and codes applications and/or modules using languages such as PL/SQL, C++, visual basic, ABAP, JAVA, XTML, etc. Provides patches and upgrades to existing systems. Involved in planning of system and development deployment as well as responsible for meeting software compliance standards. May design graphical user interface (GUI) to meet the specific needs of users. Prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of program development, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls. May build add-on modules using application program language.
