Job summary

PE Systems, Inc. in Heath, Ohio seeks a Senior Software Developer in the Combat Readiness Directorate. The role focuses on developing web applications using ASP.NET in Visual Studio, and supporting embedded software integration across sensors and C2 systems.

The candidate will perform software analysis, architecture reviews, and participate in the full software lifecycle; travel to facilities as needed and maintain security clearances.

Qualifications

• MA Degree with 10+ years of related experience, or BA Degree with 15+ years.
• Secret level security clearance required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access, Visio, Project).
• Ability to travel to multiple facility sites as required.
• Ability to perform responsibilities independently.

Responsibilities

• Develop web applications using ASP.NET (VB, C#, MVC) in Visual Studio.
• Provide hardware and software engineering support for embedded software and interfaces.
• Conduct software analysis and performance analysis for COTS and GOTS products.
• Perform software architecture reviews to ensure design effectiveness.

General Function:

• The Contractor shall be proficient using Visual Studio programming environment developing web applications using ASP.Net (VB, C#, MVC).
• Provide hardware and software engineering support for embedded software, software interfaces, cryptographic systems, and interoperability across sensors, weapons, host platforms, communications, and command and control systems
• Conduct software analysis, including interfacing and performance analysis for both Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) and Government Off-The-Shelf (GOTS) products
• Perform software architecture reviews to assess design effectiveness and alignment with system requirements
• Evaluate and support software development processes to ensure efficient and effective software lifecycle management
• Assess configuration management (CM) processes and tools to ensure proper version control and traceability
• Evaluate and support software test systems and capabilities to verify and validate software functionality and performance
• Possess knowledge and experience in the full lifecycle of software engineering, including design, development, testing, evaluation, implementation, maintenance, and administration
• Support system acquisition processes by applying knowledge of hardware and software integration at both system and subsystem levels
• Perform systems requirements analysis and allocation to ensure traceability between system needs and software design
• Understand and apply principles of computer systems architecture in support of system integration and software engineering tasks
• Assist in the testing and evaluation of systems and subsystems to validate functional and performance requirements
• Review, develop, and update software engineering‑related program documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Support the development of software engineering strategies, including the software development strategy and Software Development Plan (SDP)
• Apply understanding of aeronautical vehicle systems and/or airborne or ground‑based systems to software engineering efforts
• Support avionics Operational Flight Program (OFP) capabilities as they relate to software engineering tasks within core engineering activities

Qualifications:

Education/Certifications/Experience/Skills:

• MA Degree and over 10 years of related experience, or BA Degree and over 15 years of related experience.
• Must possess and maintain a government security clearance at the Secret level.
• Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft programs (including Excel, Word, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio, and Project).
• Must be able to perform all functional duties independently.
• Must be able to transport self to various facility sites, as required. If using own motor vehicle, must possess a valid driver's license and proof of insurance.
