Role Overview:

Valkyrie Enterprises is seeking a Senior Level Software Engineer in Columbia, MD.

Job Description:

• Assist in designing, developing, testing, and verifying missile trajectory and RF signature prediction simulations.
• Manage the entire software development process from design to delivery.
• Lead project teams and mentor junior engineers.
• Develop and maintain C++ software, including integration testing.
• Participate in Agile development ceremonies such as Daily Standups, Sprint Planning, and Reviews.
• Adapt quickly to new technologies and skills as required.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience.
• Leadership experience on projects.
• Mentoring experience for junior engineers.
• Experience with modeling and simulations architecture and development.
• Experience with all phases of software QA.
• Proficiency in C++ (C11 standard), Object-Oriented Architecture, and Design.
• Experience with IDEs (Visual Studio, NetBeans, Eclipse), debuggers, and performance tools.
• Experience with version control and configuration management tools.
• Experience working within an Agile team.

Desired Qualifications:

• Familiarity with MATLAB scripting, Simulink, scripting languages (Perl, Python, BASH), NGTS, AFSIM, ITASE, DIS, HLA, TENA, multi-threading, SSE, or GPU programming.

Security Requirements:

• Active DoD Secret clearance required.

Travel Requirements:

• Less than 10% travel; ability to obtain necessary identification credentials.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work in various environments, lift materials, perform site surveys, and carry a laptop.
