Job summary

Sabre Systems, LLC is seeking a Senior Software Developer to advance Navy maritime systems, focusing on scalable Java backends and APIs within a DoD environment.

You will collaborate with senior engineers on architecture, implement features, review code, and stay current with Java technologies while mentoring junior colleagues in a fast-paced, mission-focused setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a Computer Science, Computer Systems Information Management, IT, Electrical Engineering or Mathematics with a minimum of seven (7) years of experience in Java software development.
• Proficiency in Java and related frameworks (e.g., Spring Boot, Hibernate, JPA).
• Experience with RESTful APIs and web services.
• Familiarity with front-end technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
• Knowledge of database systems (e.g., PostgreSQL) and SQL.
• Experience with Git version control
• Familiarity with build tools (e.g., Maven) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of software design patterns and principles (e.g., SOLID, MVC).
• Ability to work independently, be a problem solver and strong desire to learn in a fast-paced environment
• Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain an Active DoD Secret Clearance
• Must be a US Citizen

• Participate in the design and architecture of software systems, ensuring scalability and performance.

• Develop and maintain backend services, APIs, and microservices using Java frameworks (e.g., Spring, Hibernate).

Compensation Statement

At Sabre Systems, LLC, compensation is based on factors such as location, qualifications, experience, and contract-specific requirements; however, final compensation will be determined by individual qualifications and applicable contract terms. The general salary range for this position is as follows $130,000.00 - $150,000.00
