Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Software Developer to join a leading aerospace and defense organization. This position will support mission-critical security automation and software engineering initiatives in a highly technical environment.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience developing software with Python, implementing GitLab CI/CD, and automating infrastructure and security processes using Ansible and Terraform. Strong Linux administration and web/API development experience are also required.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, integrate, and maintain software applications and automation solutions.
- Develop robust automation tools and applications using Python.
- Build, maintain, and optimize GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
- Implement infrastructure and security automation using Ansible and Terraform.
- Develop and integrate web applications, user interfaces, and APIs.
- Perform Linux administration, configuration, troubleshooting, and automation.
- Collaborate with software, cybersecurity, DevSecOps, infrastructure, and mission teams.
- Support secure and scalable software solutions for mission-critical aerospace and defense applications.
- Participate in software development, integration, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation activities.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of Software Engineering or related experience.
- 10+ years of experience working with security automation technologies.
- Active DoD TS/SCI clearance required.
- Strong hands-on experience with Python coding and software development.
- Experience implementing and supporting GitLab CI/CD.
- Hands-on experience with Ansible and Terraform.
- Experience with User Interface, Web, and API development.
- Excellent software development, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a classified aerospace/defense environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with LLM, RAG, CAG, or MCP technologies.
- Experience integrating generative AI or AI‑assisted capabilities into software applications.
- In‑depth familiarity with the Special Operations community.
- Experience supporting DoD, aerospace, defense, intelligence, or national security programs.
- Experience with DevSecOps, Infrastructure as Code, cloud technologies, Docker, or Kubernetes.
