Job Description:

SOFTWARE DEVELOPER - A SECRET CLEARANCE IS REQUIRED!

GDIT is seeking a Software Developer to support our Command and Control Decision Support (C2EDS) program. A SECRET CLEARANCE IS REQUIRED.

As a Software Developer, you will work on our C2EDS program, based in San Diego, CA, modernizing, building, and delivering client-side and server-side, highly available, scalable systems. You will participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle, including design, documentation, coding, and unit testing. The candidate will support modernization of data processing services and internationalization of a client-side plugin.

This position can be performed remotely.

In this role, a typical day will include:

• Working within a fast-paced Agile DevOps team, contributing and collaborating within your scrum team
• Analyzing software requirements and providing solutions
• Performing analysis, design, coding, testing, implementation, and maintenance of software solutions
• Ensuring software passes and completes stages within a CI pipeline
• Writing automated tests as necessary
• Collaborating with product teams to develop solutions to complex problems
• Communicating technical challenges, options considered, and solutions to team leads

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 1+ years of relevant software development experience
• Proficient in JAVA
• Experience interacting with Postgres databases using JAVA
• Experience using third-party SDKs
• Experience writing automated tests, such as unit and integration tests
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Self-starter capable of working independently
• Experience with Agile SCRUM methodology

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience with secure development, coding, scanning using tools like SonarQube
• Experience with Jira or similar project management tools
• Experience with Bitbucket or Git
• Experience with Windows and Linux environments
• Experience with Ant, Maven, and Eclipse
