Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin is seeking a Software Developer in the Office of the Vice President for Research. You will design, develop, and maintain secure applications supporting research administration and integrate databases, web services, and reporting tools.

You will collaborate with team members to analyze requirements, implement solutions, and ensure reliability. A strong background in PHP, Python, JavaScript, and databases is essential, with hybrid telework flexibility available.

Qualifications

• Experience with PHP, Python, and JavaScript in software development.
• Demonstrated experience with relational databases (SQL Server, MySQL or PostgreSQL).
• Proficiency with Git and core web technologies (HTML/CSS).
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Copilot, Claude Code, ChatGPT Codex).

Responsibilities
