About the opportunity

Reporting to a Development Manager, the Developer is responsible for designing and implementing new products and features as well as enhancing existing solutions. The Developer will collaborate with an energetic team of Developers, Test Engineers, Product Managers and Technical Writers throughout the development process to ensure the product is functionally complete and well-engineered. This is an excellent opportunity to join a rapidly growing innovator in a technically challenging and rewarding role.

What you'll get to do

  • Remediation of old components/pages to make them accessible for everyone.
  • Consult and guide other team members regarding everything related to Accessibility.
  • Participate in meetings with our designers to ensure all new components or pages are designed to support accessibility.
  • Stay updated with our preferred tools for accessibility.
  • Work in a team based on agile methodologies.
  • Estimate effort, assess risks and impacts on the existing system as we go forward.
  • Collaborate closely with PO, BA, QA, and Designers.
  • Leverage your knowledge and experience to mentor other developers.
  • Document our methods for accessibility to create a reference book for other teams.

Skills and experience we value

  • Strong understanding of frontend knowledge and concepts with a solid Java background.
  • Hands-on experience with CSS pre-processors such as SASS, LESS, and STYLUS.
  • Disciplined self-starter, capable of working independently and collaboratively within an agile development team.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and investigation skills.
  • Experience in communicating with REST APIs.
  • Familiarity with accessibility tools, scanners, and screen readers.

What would make you really stand out

  • Experience with Unit Testing Libraries/Frameworks such as Karma, Mocha, Jasmine, JEST, Vite, Enzyme, NUnit.
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines working with software such as Jenkins, Azure, Git, GitHub.
  • Ability to write beautiful code, considering code vulnerability, accessibility, extensibility, modifiability, and reusability.
  • Experience and knowledge about Java.
  • Experience working with SaaS Enterprise Software and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
