Job description

Our client is in a period of exciting growth and expansion within the NLP space. This exciting role within our group will provide you with the opportunity to deploy state of the art NLP technologies to make a lasting impact on the firm's data and investment processes. You will have the chance to work with some of the smartest and most driven individuals in the industry.

As a Software Engineer on our NLP Team, you will:

  1. Work collaboratively with senior research analysts and quantitative researchers to build and improve Natural Language Process (NLP) systems and automate data processing.
  2. Design research applications to analyze equity-focused alternative data.
  3. Design, develop, and deploy software solutions.
  4. Build data quality tools to enable smooth system operations.
  5. Assist with managing the software development cycle, including setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
  6. Provide support for the system and be proactive in resolving issues in a timely manner.

To be considered a good technical fit, you must have:

  1. A Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in a quantitative, engineering, computer science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  2. Excellence with Python and C/C++.
  3. 5+ years of development experience.
  4. Extensive experience with the entire software development cycle from design to deployment.
  5. Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools, such as TeamCity, Jenkins, AWS.

Bonus points for:

  1. Hands-on experience working with container technologies (Docker, Podman).
  2. Understanding of Kubernetes and Databricks as a platform.
  3. Aptitude for designing infrastructure, data products, and tools for Data Scientists.
  4. Financial industry experience.
