Job summary

Independent Health Association in Williamsville (Buffalo area) is hiring a Developer to work with IT leads to design, implement, and automate technical solutions that meet business needs. The role will develop specifications, project plans, and maintain systems for healthcare data environments in a hybrid on-site setting.

The position requires a degree with at least 3 years of software development experience, strong SDLC and Agile knowledge, and proficiency with .NET, SQL, and related tools.

Qualifications

• Associates degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3 years of experience designing and developing software.
• Experience with .NET web applications, SQL, SSRS/SSIS.
• Experience with healthcare data, ANSI X12 and HIPAA formats preferred.
• Experience supporting business applications.
• Experience with FTP, scripting, encryption and SSH.
• Working knowledge of Linux, Windows Server, and network configurations.
• Solid organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team or to be self-directed.
• Understanding of SDLC and Agile Methodology.

Responsibilities

• Develop and modify technical processes based on business analysis.
• Engage with business operations to determine and operationalize technical requests.
• Create and maintain technical specifications and project plans.
• Provide training and system documentation as required.
• Perform quality assurance checks and ensure data integrity.
• Translate customer needs into technical requirements and manage revisions.
• Evaluate and recommend application systems, interfaces and reports.
