Greenshades is seeking a Development Lead to own delivery for the Payroll product line, guiding a skilled team of engineers from design to production. You will blend hands-on senior coding with people leadership, mentoring, and close collaboration with Product Management to ship reliable software.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building full‑stack solutions using languages and frameworks such as C#, Angular, and SQL.
• 2+ years mentoring, leading, and collaborating on projects and solutions.
• 2+ years experience in HCM software or a related domain.
• Hands-on experience with Git and Azure-based development workflows.
• Strong background in full‑stack design from database through UI.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Experience designing and building Web API / REST interfaces.
• Genuine enthusiasm for AI-assisted and agentic software development practices.
• Comfortable working with a Product Manager on prioritization while exercising engineering judgment.

Responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day delivery for the Payroll development team, ensuring committed work ships on time and at a high quality bar.
• Contribute directly as a senior-level developer on complex Payroll and Tax features, setting the technical standard for the team.
• Mentor and uplevel engineers on the team, including code review, technical guidance, and career development.
• Partner with the Payroll Product Manager to translate roadmap priorities into scoped, sequenced engineering work.
• Use AI-assisted development tools as a standard part of daily engineering work, and drive adoption across the team.
• Evaluate and champion AI-augmented engineering practices and tooling as Greenshades' AI-first approach evolves.
• Partner with Sustainability team to transfer knowledge of new Payroll features and resolve production issues.
• Communicate technical tradeoffs, risks, and status clearly to engineering leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.

This role combines hands‑on senior-level technical contribution withpeopleleadership, mentoring the team while partnering closely with Product Management to translate priorities into shipped, reliable software. Greenshades is moving increasingly AI-first across engineering, and this role is expected to actively use and champion AI-assisted development tools and practices as a core part of how the team works, not as an optional add‑on.

Requirements

• Hands‑on experience with Git and Azure‑based development workflows.

• Experience with modern CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Experience designing and building Web API / REST interfaces.
• Genuine enthusiasm for AI-assisted and agentic software development practices, and a willingness to adopt and champion these tools as a core part of the job — this is not a role for someone resistant to AI-augmented engineering.
• Comfortoperatingwith support from a dedicated Product Manager on prioritization, while still exercising sound engineering judgment day to day.
