Job summary

System One, Inc. in Melbourne, FL is seeking a software analyst/engineer to respond to end-user issues, track incidents, and design, test, and integrate web applications and services.

You will assist in cost and schedule estimates for projects and provide tier III technical support. Requirements include 6–8 years across the SDLC, strong React/JavaScript/CSS skills, and familiarity with .Net, C#, SQL Server, Node.js and agile/waterfall methodologies.

Qualifications

• 6 to 8 years experience with software analysis, design, development, testing, debugging and deployment.
• Front-end web development skills: React, JavaScript, CSS, JQuery, SASS, Bootstrap, and WCMS platforms.
• Familiar with .Net, Visual Studio, Azure DevOps Server, C#, SQL Server and/or other relational databases, Node.JS, OO programming, web services, and Agile/Waterfall methods.

Responsibilities

• Responds to end user trouble calls to resolve routine software problems remotely when possible.
• Track tickets in an incident management system and escalate as needed.
• Design, develop, test, and integrate moderately complex internal and external core and web apps and services.
• Assist in determining cost and schedule of software projects using current software engineering practices.
• Provide tier III technical support for staff on core and web applications and systems.
• Confer with vendors and users to determine requirements for new or modified software/hardware.
• Test new hardware and software configurations for usability and cross-browser function.
• Develop web security safeguards and technologies.
• Meet assigned project deadlines and goals.
• Review, analyze, modify application systems including encoding, testing, debugging, and documentation.
• Analyze and resolve problems associated with application systems; diagnose and report issues.

Responsibilities

• Responds to end user trouble calls to resolve routine application software problems or assist with hardware issues remotely when possible. Routes calls as needs for more non-routine questions.

• Track tickets in an incident management system to properly identify problem and resolution for a shared knowledge base or elevate and assign as needed for higher level support.

• Design, develop, test, and integrate moderately complex internal and external core and web applications, services, and sites, including maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting to fulfill business needs.

• Assist in determining cost and schedule of various software projects using current and proven software engineering practices.

• Provide tier III technical support for staff on internal and external core and web applications and systems.

• Confer with vendors, other IT team members, users, and department managers to determine requirements for new or modified software and hardware.

• Test new hardware and software configurations for usability and proper function, including cross-browser functional capability.

• Develop web security safeguards and technologies.

• Consistently meet assigned project deadlines and goals.

• Review, analyze, and modify application systems including encoding, testing, debugging, and documentation.

• Analyze and resolve problems associated with application systems. Detect, diagnose, and report related issues.

Requirements

• 6 to 8 years prior experience with software analysis, design, development, testing, debugging, integration, deployment, support and documentation of core and web-based systems following the software development lifecycle, or a combination of applicable experience, education, and training which provides the knowledge and skills needed to perform job duties.

• Front-end web development skills: React, JavaScript, CSS, JQuery, SASS, Bootstrap, and WCMS platforms.

• Familiarity with .Net, Visual Studio, Azure DevOps Server, C#, SQL Server and/or other relational databases, Node.JS, experience with client-server concepts, object-oriented programming, web services, and Waterfall/Agile development methodologies.
