Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Senior Java/Python Developer in the United States to join a cross-functional team supporting Product Owners, Data Coaches, Analysts and DBAs in an Agile environment. The role emphasizes building, testing and maintaining a distributed processing application using Python and Java, aligned with program standards and backend-frontend needs.

Ideal candidates will have significant Java/Python experience, strong SQL and Snowflake skills, plus AWS familiarity and shell scripting.

Qualifications

• 8 years with BS/BA; 6 years with MS/MA; 3 years with PhD.
• Ability to work independently and effectively with little to no supervision.
• Strong Python development with JAVA experience or Strong JAVA Development with python experience
• Experience with distributed workloads via Spark/Hadoop/Other
• Must have SQL skills; Snowflake experience

• Strong shell scripting

• Excellent executive function and communication skills
• US Citizen or Green Card - must have been in US 3 of the last 5 years
• Must have the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

We are looking to add a Senior Java/Python Developer to our team of talented professionals.

The Senior Java/Python Developer will work closely with Product Owner/Data Coaches/Analysts/DBA and Scrum/Kanban teams.

In this role, you will:

Target Salary Range

$104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
