Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
• 3+ years of professional work experience.
• Strong Java background (Spring, JUnit, JavaFX) and Gradle build automation.
• RHEL system administration, Bash scripting, and basic Ansible automation.
• Local app development and testing using Podman and VirtualBox; familiarity with deploying to Kubernetes (K3s) clusters.
• Practical host-level Linux networking and core socket fundamentals (TCP, UDP, Multicast vs. Broadcast).
• Source control with Git/Bitbucket and CI/CD with Bamboo.
• Ability to work independently and resolve system-level issues in a lean team.

Responsibilities

• Application Engineering - Design, maintain, and modernize Java/JavaFX tools and admin GUIs; support migration to web-based services.
• Testing & Simulation - Maintain, operate, and extend internal utilities for component testing and mission simulation.
• Packaging & Validation - Build, containerize (Podman), and validate software locally before edge Kubernetes (K3s) deployment.
• Systems Integration - Diagnose host sockets, OS behavior, and app issues in cybersecurity-hardened baselines.
