Job summary

Custom Computer Specialists is seeking two Software Developer Interns for a 10–12 week summer program in Hauppauge, NY. Interns will work on client-facing projects, supporting Java-based add-ons and writing custom SQL Server Reports. Ideal candidates are pursuing a degree in Computer Science or a related field and possess solid Java and SQL skills.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Solid Java fundamentals including classes, interfaces, and exception handling.
• Working knowledge of SQL; comfortable writing JOINs and aggregations.

Responsibilities

• Write and optimize T-SQL queries, stored procedures, and views against MS SQL Server.
• Develop and maintain Java-based add-on products for Infinite Campus.
• Write custom reports using SQL Server Reporting Services based on district requirements.
