Job summary

BeHooked is seeking a software developer in the United States to join a compact engineering team. From week one, you’ll contribute to real features used by real people, with work that is tangible and immediately impactful.

You’ll see your code in production and may choose to specialize in frontend technologies or backend systems. We value strong fundamentals, a portfolio of projects, enthusiasm for solving problems, curiosity, and thoughtful design decisions.

Qualifications

• Strong grasp of programming fundamentals across frontend or backend development.
• Portfolio or personal projects that demonstrate your ability to build and ship code.
• Genuine enthusiasm for creating software and solving problems through code.
• Evidence of curiosity: you explore new tools, techniques and technologies.
• Thoughtful approach to design and user experience decisions.
• Reliability and approachability as a teammate.
• Experience with Cursor, Claude Code, or comparable AI-assisted coding tools is valued but entirely optional.
