Job summary

Entrust in Minnesota is seeking a Software Developer II to design and develop Issuance solutions using Java, Spring, and React, with a focus on secure, scalable digital identity experiences. You will work with minimal supervision, apply sound technical judgment, and collaborate across teams to deliver reliable software.

This hybrid role requires three days in-office at our Shakopee headquarters. The ideal candidate has a BS in CS or related field and 3+ years of Java/Spring experience, plus 2+

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS, or an equivalent technology discipline.
• 3+ years of relevant software development experience creating business applications.
• 3+ years of Java and Spring development experience, preferably using JDK 21 or later.
• 2+ years of experience with React and RESTful web services.
• 2+ year of experience building SaaS products, preferably on AWS.
• Hands‑on experience with VS Code, IntelliJ, Jira, and/or similar tools.
• Background developing multi‑threaded applications.
• Exposure to AI tools and Copilot‑based development workflows.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
• Experience tuning application performance.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, debug, deploy, and maintain high‑performing, secure applications and services using Java, Spring, and React.
• Build secure products and deploy software solutions that enhance user experiences.
• Apply secure development life cycle practices, threat modelling, and web application security assessment techniques.
• Participate in system architecture, optimization of existing systems, code reviews, requirements definition, and documentation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues by identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
• Apply Agile (Scrum) methodology to track progress and support consistent project standards.
• Contribute to team planning and estimation by defining task breakdowns, timelines, and effort requirements.
• Develop and maintain automation and CI/CD environments.
• Work independently on project assignments with minimal supervision.
• Exhibit a process‑oriented mindset.
• Collaborate with colleagues and share skills with other Entrust teams.
