Job summary

Tri Star Engineering, Inc. in Bloomington, IN seeks a Software Developer II to support Expeditionary EW ICO software in service of the Azurite Program. You will design, implement, test, and maintain mission software mainly in C++ and Python, collaborating with Systems, DSP, and RF engineers to deliver integrated mission capabilities.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, U.S. citizenship, ability to obtain a Secret clearance, and proficiency in Linux/Windows development and Git

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an active Secret security clearance.
• CompTIA Security+ certification prior to start date.
• Proficiency in C++, Python and/or JavaScript.
• Experience with Git-based development workflows.
• Experience debugging software in Linux and Windows environments.
• Ability to integrate software across multiple subsystems.
• Strong communication within a multidisciplinary engineering team.

TRISTAR is seeking a local highly motivated Software Developer II in Bloomington, IN to support the software development and system administration of the Expeditionary Electronic Warfare Intelligence & Cyberspace Operations (EW ICO) in support of the Azurite Program.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, test, and maintain mission software.
• Develop software primarily in C++ and Python.
• Support software integration, debugging, verification, and production hardening activities.
• Participate in software architecture discussions, implementation planning, and technical design reviews.
• Submit software changes through the established version control and merge request process.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Programming, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an active Secret security clearance.
• Must already have or be able to obtain a CompTIA Security Plus certification prior to start date.
• Ability to develop and maintain software using C++, Python and/or JavaScript.
• Ability to work within a Git-based software development workflow.
• Ability to develop and debug software in Linux and Windows development environments.
• Ability to integrate software across multiple subsystems.
• Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary engineering team.
