Position: Software Developer I – CMS/WordPress Developer

Location: Washington DC (potential for hybrid)

Clearance Required: Public Trust

“Must hold an active Public Trust clearance to apply.” This position involves building application and web front-ends based on requirements from Stakeholder Engagement, programs, UX, and designers.

SCOPE OF WORK

The scope of work includes:

• Experience with WordPress CMS framework, configuration, and maintenance
• Create organizational websites with WordPress framework
• Develop templates using WordPress CMS and PHP
• Configure and maintain in-house WordPress environment
• Build reusable code and component libraries
• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS, CSS3, SCSS
• Experience with front-end frameworks from UX design to component delivery
• Understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks like jQuery, ReactJS, Angular, Gulp, Webpack
• Experience creating accessible forms with ARIA and client-side validation
• Experience with Bootstrap or similar technologies
• Familiarity with collaboration platforms and version control
• Ensure UI/UX design feasibility, optimize for speed and scalability
• Follow Lean principles, rapid prototyping, and support WCAG compliance
• Basic image editing skills with tools like Gimp or Photoshop
• Address cross-browser compatibility issues
• Adhere to SEO principles
• Support critical business functions through web front-end development
• Lead and contribute to multiple projects, ensuring specifications are met
• Design, code, test, debug, document web front-end customizations
• Follow accessibility and W3C standards, contribute to improvements
• Coordinate with departments, support business applications
