Job summary

Fortune Minds Inc. is seeking a Software Developer – FTE to join our team in Frisco, TX. You will help design software architectures, diagnose issues, and ensure the product meets quality standards.

You will collaborate with PMs, designers, testers, and other developers, use Git for version control, write unit tests, and participate in integration and regression testing. You’ll deploy updates, address security concerns, and optimize performance as requirements evolve.

Responsibilities

• Architect the overall structure of software systems by defining components, modules, and interactions.
• Analyze user-reported issues and testing findings, identify root causes, and implement fixes.
• Collaborate with project managers, designers, testers, and developers to meet specifications and quality standards.
• Use version control (e.g., Git) to manage changes and document code for developers and end-users.
• Write unit tests, participate in integration and regression testing, and contribute to QA activities.
• Stay current with new technologies and best practices through continuous learning.
• Deploy software to production, maintain and update it, and address changes in requirements.
• Implement secure coding practices and address vulnerabilities in applications.
• Identify bottlenecks, optimize algorithms, and fine-tune configurations for performance improvements.

• Participating in the design phase of projects to architect the overall structure of software systems, including defining components, modules, and interactions.
• Analyzing issues reported by users or detected during testing, identifying root causes, and implementing solutions to resolve them.
• Working closely with other team members, including project managers, designers, testers, and other developers, to ensure that software meets specifications and quality standards.
• Using version control systems (e.g., Git) to manage changes to the codebase effectively, and documenting code with comments and creating documentation for developers and end-users.
• Writing unit tests to ensure individual components of software function correctly, participating in integration testing, regression testing, and other forms of quality assurance.
• Staying up-to‑date with new technologies, tools, and best practices through continuous learning and professional development activities.
• Deploying software to production environments, and maintaining and updating software to address issues, add new features, or accommodate changes in requirements.
• Implementing secure coding practices, safeguarding sensitive data, and addressing potential vulnerabilities in software applications.
• Identifying and addressing bottlenecks, optimizing algorithms, and fine‑tuning configurations to improve the performance of software applications.
