Role Overview:

We are looking for a Software Developer Engineer in Test (SDET) who is eager to learn and grow their career. As part of a core-technology team, you will work closely with developers to provide verification of Windows malware detection technologies and drivers.

Reporting to the Director of Engineering, this team delivers software that provides malware detection capabilities in our flagship products.

This is a remote position based in Canada. We will only consider candidates in Canada and are not offering relocation assistance at this time.

About the role

1. Work closely with developers to develop, automate, and execute test plans
2. Work closely with other SDETs to make test automation framework changes, perform code reviews, and implement test automation best practices
3. Use and automate a variety of debugging tools to assist in triage and collecting system information
4. Use creativity, product, and operating system knowledge to develop and execute a variety of exploratory test scenarios
5. Help build CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins to automate the software development lifecycle
6. Identify and implement opportunities to improve and automate the CI/CD process
7. Provide build verification and sign-off

About you

1. You have 2+ years of quality testing and automation experience
2. You have experience working with Python and C++
3. You understand and can apply software testing best practices
4. Knowledge of Windows Operating System and architecture
5. Knowledge of Windows SysInterals tools is a bonus
6. Knowledge of Windows WHQL and HLK processes is a bonus
7. Knowledge of anti-malware applications, network applications, cloud programming is a bonus
8. Knowledge of executable file formats (MZ, PE, COFF, ELF, MACH-O) is a bonus
9. You like working in a team and have excellent communication skills
10. You like finding creative solutions to solve hard problems
