Southern Farm Bureau Life Insurance is recruiting a Developer in Jackson, MS to join our Applications Development team. You will code, test, and document programming work under supervision, while solving production issues and supporting business users.

The role emphasizes ongoing learning, collaboration, and delivering reliable software solutions within a structured enterprise environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience.
• Working knowledge of at least one high-level programming language.
• Knowledge of SQL, Visual Studio, Git, C#, .Net Framework, XML, HTML, JSON, and AQT can be beneficial.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain code for computer applications including coding, testing, and documenting programming work.
• Research and resolve production issues reported to the Help Desk.
• Work on-call after-hours rotation and handle production problems.
• Document research, progress and status of assigned work in Azure DevOps.
• Communicate with business users as work progresses and follow up on testing.
