Job summary

Parsons is seeking an amazingly talented DevOps Engineer to join our team in the United States. In this fast-paced role you will work on developing and refining our suite of analytic tools and automate deployment across multiple production environments.

You will review system architectures, implement build and support tools, and participate in quick-response development with customer interaction while contributing to secure, scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/CE/IT or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Active Secret clearance is required.
• Experience with Linux development environments (RHEL, Rocky, Ubuntu).
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Podman, Containerd).
• Experience with scripting languages (Bash, Python, Groovy).
• Experience with deployment automation (Ansible, Packer, Cloud-init).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins or equivalent).
• Experience with virtualization (vSphere, ESXi).
• Experience with Git or equivalent.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Work on the daily development and refinement of our proprietary suite of analytic tools.
• Analyze, design, and develop automation for the construction and installation of software in a multitude of production environments.
• Review system architecture and select and implement appropriate build and support tools to ensure product performance and testing.
• Be involved in quick reaction development with opportunities for customer interaction on a team that is focused on developing superior products and encouraging the career growth of its members.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Computer Security, Information Technology or related discipline. Additional years of experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Must have 5+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Active Secret clearance is required.
• Experience in Linux Development Environments (RHEL, Rocky, Ubuntu).
• Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Podman, Containerd).
• Experience with scripting languages (Bash, Python, Groovy).
• Experience with deployment automation (Ansible, Packer, Cloud-init).
• Experience developing CI/CD Pipelines (Jenkins or equivalent).
• Experience with virtualization platforms (vSphere, ESXi, or equivalent).
• Experience with source code repository tools (Git or equivalent).

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• Experience with Kubernetes constructs (Helm, Zarf).
• Experience in applying server configuration hardening.
• Experience with Agile development practices.
• Experience in cloud environments (AWS or equivalent).

Salary Range: $103,500.00 - $181,100.00
