The Virtual Networking Data plane group within OCI builds highly customizable Virtual Cloud Networks (VCN) data plane services on industry leading programmable SmartNICs/DPUs, offering our customers predictable performance, secure isolation, and high availability. Responsibilities
  • Solve complex problems related to infrastructure cloud services and build automation to prevent problem recurrence.
  • Design, write, and deploy software to improve the availability, scalability, and efficiency of Oracle products and services.
  • Design and develop designs, architectures, standards, and methods for large-scale distributed systems.
  • Facilitate service capacity planning and demand forecasting, software performance analysis, and system tuning.
Qualifications
  • 3 years of experience with Linux systems/application development
  • 2 years of experience with Python
  • Experience with embedded systems (e.g. hardware bringup, prototyping)
  • Solid understanding of networking and cloud (preferably OCI) concepts
  • Proficient with Linux based build and analysis tools (e.g. make, bazel)
  • Demonstrated leadership, driving projects, making key technology choices
  • Proficient with commonly used networking protocols such as IP, TCP, UDP, ICMP, HTTP
  • Willing to work on-call as part of an escalation path
  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science and Engineering or related engineering fields

  1. US: Hiring Range in USD from: $79,200 to $178,100 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
  2. Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
  3. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
