The Software Developer to join our engineering team and help design, build, and maintain modern web applications and services. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design, develop, test, and maintain web applications using React and Next.js.

• Build and maintain backend services and APIs using Node.js.

• Develop reusable, maintainable components and services following modern development practices.

• Design and integrate REST APIs and third‑party services.

• Work with SQL and NoSQL databases to store, retrieve, and manage application data.

• Use AI‑assisted development tools effectively for coding, debugging, testing, documentation, refactoring, and solution design.

• Review and validate AI‑generated code to ensure quality, security, maintainability, and correctness.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• 3+ years of professional software development experience.

• Strong experience with JavaScript and/or TypeScript.

• Professional experience developing backend applications and APIs using Node.js.

• Experience building modern web applications using React.

• Experience with Next.js or similar React‑based frameworks.

• Strong understanding of REST APIs and modern web application architecture.

• Experience working with relational or NoSQL databases.

• Experience with Git and modern software development workflows.

• Understanding of automated testing and CI/CD practices.

• Strong problem‑solving and debugging skills.

• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative engineering team.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Strong TypeScript experience.

• Experience using AI‑assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, or similar platforms.

• Experience applying AI tools responsibly within a professional software development workflow.

• Experience with AWS, Azure, or another major cloud platform.

• Experience with Docker and containerized applications.

• Experience with GraphQL.

• Experience building event‑driven or asynchronous applications.

• Familiarity with building AI‑enabled applications or integrating LLM services.

• Experience working in an Agile development environment.

• Familiarity with application monitoring, observability, and performance optimization.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Work is performed primarily in an indoor office or home‑office environment using standard office equipment

• Frequent use of hands and fingers for keyboarding, data entry, and operating office equipment/computer and participating in virtual or in‑person meetings

• Occasional standing, walking, bending, or reaching to access files, or office equipment

• Occasional lifting and carrying of files, documents, or office materials up to 15 pounds

• Occasional travel, as needed

The expected base pay range for this position is $120,000-140,000 per year. The actual compensation for the position may vary based on market differences and on factors such as skills, experience, qualifications and can vary based on location and/or work schedule. In addition to base pay, CareTria offers a comprehensive benefits package.
