We are seeking a highly experienced Senior IC5 Software Engineer to join the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) team, specifically focusing on the Oracle Kubernetes Engine (OKE) platform. This role offers an exceptional opportunity to work on large-scale, distributed cloud services that support some of the world's most demanding technical and business workloads. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining core platform capabilities that ensure reliability, scalability, and security of Kubernetes clusters across OCI regions. Your expertise will directly influence the evolution of OCI's managed Kubernetes services, supporting AI, machine learning, high-performance computing, and other advanced workloads.
The ideal candidate will possess over 10 years of software engineering experience, with a strong background in cloud infrastructure and distributed systems. Deep expertise in Kubernetes architecture, APIs, control plane components, and production operations is essential. Advanced knowledge of Kubernetes networking (such as CNI, Calico, Cilium) and storage (CSI drivers, cloud storage integrations) is required. Proficiency in Go/Golang and Java, along with strong Linux and networking skills, is necessary. Experience with AI/ML infrastructure, GPU clusters, and high-performance networking technologies is highly desirable. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to lead complex technical projects, influence cross-functional teams, and operate with minimal supervision. Excellent communication skills, ownership mentality, and pragmatic decision-making are critical for success in this role.
