Job summary

Ampcus Inc. in Tallahassee, FL is seeking a Software Developer to support development, maintenance, and migration to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure while preserving legacy systems.

You will implement modules, optimize performance, and collaborate with internal and external customers to deliver reliable software on schedule, with a focus on security.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, information systems, or related field.
• Equivalent work experience acceptable.
• Five (5) years or more of experience as a program designer and implementer.
• Five (5) years or more of experience with operation and maintenance of enterprise applications including TypeScript, XHTML, JavaScript, CSS, SOAP/XML, and PL/SQL.

Responsibilities

• Assists internal and external customers to produce detailed functional requirements of system components to be programmed.
• Efficiently programs modules for use in and by the CSAB for new or upgraded functionality.
• Provides assistance to community developers to enable additional application submissions and build out the shared development community.
• Assists in software configurations to support development needs and schedules.
• Monitors and tunes systems for greatest performance.
• Acts as liaison with hosting provider to optimize environment for application performance.
• Provides planning and technical support for migration activities.
• Supports security of deployed applications.
• Produces technical documentation of work in standard project team format.
• Identifies areas needing changes or new applications.
• Performs maintenance on current production applications.
• Migrates services from premise CSAB systems to an OCI-based CSAB system.

Scope Of Work

The Contractor's personnel shall work on project tasks that include but are not limited to:

Work Tasks

• Assisting internal and external customers to produce detailed functional requirements of system components to be programmed.
• Efficiently programming modules for use in and by the CSAB whether it be a new module or an upgrade to existing functionality.
• Providing assistance to community developers to facilitate additional application submissions and build out the shared development community.
• Assisting in software configurations as required supporting the organization's development needs and schedule.
• Monitoring and assisting in tuning systems for greatest performance.
• Acting as liaison with hosting provider to ensure environment is optimized for application performance.
• Providing planning and technical support for migration activities.
• Providing assistance to ensure the security of deployed applications.
• Providing technical documentation of work performed in standard project team format.
• Identifying potential areas where existing applications require change, or where new applications need to be developed.
• Performing maintenance activities on current production applications.
• Migrating services from the premise based CSAB systems to an Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) based CSAB system.

Qualifications

• The Contractor's personnel shall have a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, information systems, or another related field.
• Equivalent work experience is acceptable.
• The Contractor's personnel shall have five (5) years or more of experience as a program designer and implementer.
• The Contractor's personnel shall have five (5) years or more of experience with the operation and maintenance of enterprise applications including working knowledge of the following programming languages: Typescript, XHTML, JavaScript, CSS, SOAP/XML, and PL/SQL.
• The Contractor's personnel must pass the Background Screening and Security Requirements.
