Job summary

Invasystems Inc. seeks Software Developers to support the design, development, and delivery of our core product portfolio. You will work across the full stack, including web frontends, RESTful APIs, databases, and Windows services, in a hands-on role.

You will collaborate with QA, project managers, and the broader engineering team to implement and enhance software solutions across five product lines: FieldDNA, TimeTrack, DiagnEASE, InField, and IAMOE.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field and 24 months of software development experience.
• 2 years of experience developing software using Angular, FastAPI, .NET Core, TypeScript, Python, PostgreSQL, and Azure AI Foundry.
• 2 years of experience designing and developing cloud-native SaaS applications, including microservices and RESTful APIs.
• 2 years of cloud-based application development and deployment using Microsoft Azure.
• 2 years of experience working in Agile software development with Git – Azure DevOps.
• 2 years of experience developing web-based user interfaces using React.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and enhance full-stack application components including web front-ends, RESTful APIs, databases, and Windows services.
• Create design specifications, data models, class diagrams, and interaction diagrams for new features.
• Analyze user needs and feasibility within time/cost constraints.
• Modify existing software to improve performance and adapt to new requirements.

The Role Supports Five Active Product Lines

• FieldDNA – Field Sales Automation, Secondary Sales, and Distribution Management System
• TimeTrack – Professional Services Time, Expense, and Invoice Management Solution
• DiagnEASE – OT Rule Engine and Alerting System
• InField – Energy Field Inspection and Services Management System
• IAMOE – Industrial Asset Management & Operational Excellence System

Software Design And Development

• Design, develop, and enhance full-stack application components, including web front-ends, RESTful APIs, relational databases, and background Windows services.
• Create detailed design specifications, including data models, class diagrams, and interaction diagrams, to support development and implementation of new features.
• Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.
• Modify existing software to correct errors, improve performance, and adapt systems to new business requirements or technologies.

System Performance And Scalability

• Analyze system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement improvements to meet defined performance requirements.
• Develop and implement scalable solutions to support system growth and reliability.
• Identify technical risks during development and implement mitigation solutions.

Collaboration And Development Process

• Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, and QA teams to translate requirements into technical designs and functional solutions.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to standards.
• Develop prototypes and proof-of-concepts to validate solutions.
• Develop and execute testing and validation procedures.

Documentation And Support

• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including system interfaces and API specifications.
• Support software deployment, integration, and maintenance activities.
• Collaborate with internal teams to address technical issues and system enhancements.

Minimum Requirements

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field and 24 months of experience in software development or related occupation.
• 2 years of experience developing software applications using Angular, FastAPI, .NET Core technologies, including TypeScript, Python, and PostgreSQL, and Azure AI Foundry, applying object-oriented design principles and design patterns.
• 2 years of experience designing and developing cloud native SaaS applications, including microservices architectures and RESTful APIs.
• 2 years of experience with cloud-based application development and deployment using Microsoft Azure.
• 2 years of experience working in Agile software development environments, including source control using Git – Azure DevOps.
• 2 years of experience developing web-based user interfaces using React.

Travel Requirement

Up to 15% domestic and/or international travel may be required.
