REMOTE OPPORTUNITY - W-2 ONLY

Requires DOE "Q" clearance - US Citizens Only

Titan is hiring! We are looking for a highly motivated and self-sufficient Software Developer who thrives on diving into complex systems and taking ownership of technical challenges. This role is ideal for someone who already has strong proficiency in several core areas of software development and can quickly become a key contributor after an initial walkthrough of the codebase. If you're the kind of developer who loves exploring, debugging, and shipping clean, working code — we want to talk with you!

Responsibilities

This is a hands-on role with lots of autonomy and technical depth. If you're a builder at heart and love getting under the hood of systems, this may be the role for you!

• Develop and maintain Python code with an emphasis on packaging and Cython internals.
• Write and optimize advanced shell scripts to automate development and deployment workflows.
• Own and maintain software packaging and distribution systems using RPM.

You MUST have

• Experience (not theory) with a very specific set of skills that demonstrates a deep understanding of coding, deployment, and software development structures.
• Proficiency in a solid subset of the technologies listed above and eagerness to ramp up quickly on the rest.
• Demonstrated ability to take ownership of tasks and deliver robust, secure, and maintainable code.
• Comfort navigating and improving complex codebases with minimal supervision.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a hacker’s mindset for debugging and optimization.
• BS in Computer Science/Software Engineering or equivalent.
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a DOE "Q" or DoD Top Secret clearance.

It’s great if you also have

• Experience in at least two of the following:
• Manage TLS configurations including certificate handling and mutual authentication setups.
• Contribute to Java projects using Maven and manage artifact lifecycle with Artifactory.
• Implement and maintain automated testing workflows, including browser-based testing with Selenium.
• Configure and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and Git repositories on Azure.
• Develop and extend the developer environment through use of VS Code, including writing custom extensions.
• Active DOE "Q" or DoD Top Secret clearance.
