Job summary

Kforce Inc. in the United States seeks a Software Developer to participate in the design and development of application systems across the SDLC, with a focus on automation and enterprise CMS like AEM.

The role requires extensive J2EE and AEM experience, REST/GraphQL, CI/CD, and collaboration with distributed teams in an Agile/DevOps environment to deliver reliable, scalable software.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years IT experience.
  • 6+ years Adobe AEM experience (AEM 6.4+).
  • 6+ years J2EE programming experience.
  • Experience with RESTful API and GraphQL (nice to have).
  • Experience with unit testing and automated testing tools.
  • Experience with secure coding practices.
  • Experience implementing web content management systems in a large corporate environment.
  • Experience with object-oriented design and design patterns.
  • Experience with dispatcher, caching, and CDN technologies.
  • Experience with AEM development practices, GitLab, Jenkins, CI/CD pipeline.
  • Experience building, deploying, and supporting Internet-facing applications.
  • Knowledge of Sling, Spring and Struts Framework, or other MVC frameworks.
  • Excellent estimation abilities in scoping work in a highly complex environment.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the technical design of application systems.
  • Develops and implements application systems through the SDLC from inception to delivery and beyond.
  • Designs and writes complex code across languages with a focus on automation.
  • Configures, tunes, maintains and installs applications systems and validates functionality; installs releases and upgrades.
  • Evaluates and installs software patches.
  • Monitors and tunes applications to achieve optimum performance and works with hardware teams to resolve issues.
  • Troubleshoots with developers, vendors and infrastructure teams to resolve problems.
  • Addresses product backlog and delivers high-quality features.
  • Maintains configuration databases and documentation to ensure data integrity.
  • Works with cross-functional teams using Agile/DevOps to bring products to life.
  • Design, develop and support AEM content fragments, integrations, and applications.

Job description

Responsibilities
  • Software Developer will participate in the technical design of application systems
  • Develops and implements application systems by participating through the software development lifecycle from inception to delivery and beyond
  • Designs and writes complex code in several languages relevant to our existing product stack, with a focus on automation
  • Configures, tunes, maintains and installs applications systems and validates system functionality Installs new software releases and application system upgrades
  • Evaluates and installs software patches
  • Monitors and fine tunes applications system to achieve optimum performance levels and works with hardware teams to resolve issues with hardware and software
  • Assists with application system problem resolution by working with application developers, vendors, and internal infrastructure teams members to troubleshoot
  • Addresses product backlog and provide continuous delivery of high-quality features
  • As a Software Developer, you will maintain a comprehensive operating system hardware and software configuration database/library of all supporting documentation to ensure data integrity
  • Acts to improve the overall reliability of systems and to increase efficiency
  • Works collaboratively with cross functional teams, using Agile/DevOps principles to bring products to life, achieve business objectives and serve customer needs
  • Design, develop and support AEM content fragments, integrations, and applications
Requirements
  • Overall 10+ years of IT experience
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience implementing Adobe AEM (AEM 6.4 or higher)
  • Minimum of 6 years of J2EE programming experience required
  • Experience with RESTful API and GraphQL (nice to have)
  • Experience working with geographically separate project teams
  • Experience with unit testing and automated testing tools
  • Experience with secure coding practices
  • Experience implementing web content management systems in a large corporate environment
  • Experience with object-oriented design and design patterns
  • Experience with dispatcher, caching, and CDN technologies
  • Experience with OSGI Bundles
  • Experience with AEM development practices, Gitlab, Jenkins, CI/CD pipeline
  • Experience building, deploying, and supporting Internet-facing applications
  • Knowledge of Sling, Spring and Struts Framework, or other MVC frameworks
  • Excellent estimation abilities in scoping work in a highly complex environment
  • Superior problem solving, organizational, decision-making, written, oral and interpersonal skills

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
